To take on food waste at the scale that we do, we work with dozens of growers and hundreds of types of produce, so the answer to, “Where does your produce come from?” is rarely a short or simple one. The list of farms that we source from changes every day depending on the season and the state of the produce market.
Ultimately, we work with any farm that meets our quality standards and has enough “ugly” and surplus produce to satisfy our customers' appetites. In practice, what this means is that we'll buy from any farm that has enough of at least one type of produce to satisfy a minimum number of customer orders. While it’s easier for us to source from larger growers, we do work with smaller growers, especially on the organic side.
